Gay Trip Spots In Ireland
The intriguing country of Ireland has been a popular gay vacations since the days when Oscar Wilde called this nation home. Of course, during his time Ireland was not as welcoming and accepting of LGBT folks and many, including Wilde, were jailed or sent off to hard labor camps for what was then termed “indecency.” Sadly, up until 1861, death was considered an acceptable punishment for acts of sodomy, but today Ireland has moved well beyond these dark days and has recently bested the U.S. when it comes to LGBT rights by legalizing same-sex civil unions in 2009, after decriminalizing same-sex behaviors in 1993.
While these significant legal strides might not mean that every village – or even every larger city – is ready to fully embrace same-sex relationships, Ireland has become a rather welcoming country for the most part and is a wonderful choice for gay travel. Many larger cities, such as Galway, Dublin, Cork and Waterford, have active, visible communities, LGBT-owned and LGBT-friendly establishments, and enough attractions and activities to fill an entire trip; however, whether you travel to Ireland solo or with organized gay tours, you will not want to miss the beautiful Irish countryside or the quaint, small villages that are scattered about the landscape or overlooking awe-inspiring coastal cliffs.
De-stress And Relax In A Day Spa
Everybody is entitled to a little treat after a hard day’s work. Difficult schedules, financial strife, and emotional strain – all these and more contribute to the tapering energy level of people.
What better way to de-stress than to surrender yourself to a comforting massage, a facial treatment, get your nails done… those kind of things. One good destination is a day spa, the place to go to for total pampering.
A day spa is an authentic haven to those who want to indulge in satisfying body treatments and to just merely be away from the troubles of the outside world. Unlike resort spas, you don’t spend the night at day spas.
With the number of day spas dotting almost every corner, it is important, however, to pick the right one. Nice day spas should give you that comforting and unwinding feeling that you so loved. The neighborhood should be impeccably clean with robes, slippers, and individual lockers furnished and calming background music on. Check the menu if a certain day spa offers extensive list of massage, body, and facial services, which should be, of course, done by professional and highly-trained therapists.

Riding Your Bike in Idaho
Idaho does have rather harsh winters, and the spring tends to be rather wet, as well, so the ideal time to go biking in Idaho is during the summer or beginning fall months, from about May through October. Beginners may want to start on an 11-mile loop not far from Pocatello. This trail-referred to as the Valve or Pump House Trail in the Mink Creek Recreation Area-is a long simple trek that can help build riding endurance without too many technical challenges. Don’t forget to bring water, though, and stay hydrated.
If you want to get a great view of the nearby Saw Tooth Mountains, ride up on the 12-mile loop by Stanley called Elk Mountain. The climb isn’t too difficult, you’ll cross a few streams, and then the downhill route is pretty rocky going down to Elk Meadows, but overall it’s a good trail for intermediate bikers. And the scenery and views are fabulous.

Food For Thought: The Avraham Karadi Sandwich
Are you a bizarre sandwich lover? Even though you might not make them or eat them, you can still be a sandwich lover and its nice to know that there are people like us, who simply love sandwiches. Lets take for example the “St. Paul”, ever heard of it? It is usually found in St. Louis, Missouri in certain old time Chinese restaurants. It is a egg foo young, lettuce, tomato, mayo and sometimes a slice of American cheese all on white bread. How about the “chow mein sandwich” a common menu option in Southern Massachusetts on Route 195. Other bizzare sandwiches include the peanut butter and onion sandwich, the peanut butter and pickle sandwich, the peanut butter, jelly and crushed potato chips sandwich and many more. There are no shortages of bizarre sandwiches out there!
Included in the list might be one of the most bizarre, the “Avraham Karadi” sandwich (A.K.A. Avi Karadi sandwich). It seems like it may have been created as a gourmet sandwich as it involves a tremendous amount of time and effort to gather and prepare the ingredients. I simply could not see anyone actually enjoying the resulting sandwich, but that’s just me as there has been talk that it is popular in some locations. Here is the list of ingredients:
