The Economy of Oklahoma
Oklahoma’s economy is based upon the industry of food manufacturing and production, aircraft development and natural gas extraction. Natural gas is abundant in Oklahoma, ranking the entire state second in the national standings. As for agriculture, Oklahoma competes with a 27th-ranking place, with 5th in rankings for wheat production. Oklahoma has also been rated as one of the most business-friendly states in North America, with tax burdens ranking as the nation’s 7th lowest. Oil accounts for at least seventeen percent of Oklahoma’s major economic shifters, but the industry was outpaced at the start of 2007 due to a collapse in the energy industry.
Oklahoma’s main industry lies in the sectors of aviation, energy production, transportation equipment assembly, food processing, electronics and communication, not mentioning the three previous main industries of the state. With a civilian work force of over 1.7 million. The government had at least provided jobs in the state for over three hundred thousand people in 2007, transportation and utility sector providing at least two hundred ninety thousand jobs and education, business, and manufacturing industries providing one hundred ninety thousand, one hundred eight thousand and one hundred fifty jobs respectively.
Buy Here, Sell There
Tired of thinking about selling something all day? Is there nothing new to sell much these days? Don’t have the effort for innovation or you are simply just bored?
You should take to being a merchant then. This is a mercantile trade of buying things from people at a discounted price and then earning a profit by selling them to people of other locales. Just like how the merchants did it in the olden times.
This is especially good if you have a transport, an active directory of all fairs and festivals happening around the country or state (country would be better, of course, you’d have to consider the fare expenses too, especially with state-to-state traveling), a knack for customer relations and good mathematical ability. Like how much will you profit over your expenses, your cost? If you do this, will you gain more or lose some?
You would be traveling, A LOT. Of course, if you’re really that good, and the products you bought really live up to their name, then have a go for it, much better if you realize you’re good at this and then consider a shift in careers. That way, you can make a map of yearly activities for yourself.
In a Food Fest
There are a lot of food courses you can take should you be interested in taking up food crafting. Food crafting, even as the name sounds very misleading, is serving food as a way of making income during an arts and crafts festival. Food preparation is a craft in itself, as well as being able to prepare it with much gusto both for you and your customers. There are certain factors that should be understood should you delve in the world of food and food preparation.
One, you should be able to determine your specialty. Firstly, do you even like food preparation? Let me tell you that this craft is not for everyone. You should have the passion of a chef and a business man. Remember, you are not there to only cook and to serve, but you are there to also entertain and to manage your dealings. There’s more to just food preparation, is what I would reiterate.
