5 Ways Charter Flights Were Beaten Up in the Headlines Last Year.
While it is true that charter flights were badly affected during the global financial meltdown which forced them to take a step back last year, it is also known that they have now returned and are ready to sweep you off your feet once again! Behold, as we uncover the 5 hidden secrets to this issue.
#5: The Real Culprits Were Finally Revealed.
Private flights and charter jets took a big hit last year, especially back when the heads of the big-3 automakers in the USA flew to a meeting, begging for a cash bailout, in private jets. Suddenly, the idea of a corporate executive abusing his privilege in the skies was public enemy number one, at least for a few days. We’ve since moved on.
#4: Everyone Realized They Weren’t So Bad.
As the crisis worsened, most average people realized that corporate jets and charter flights weren’t even 0.1% of the problem. Subprime mortgages, ridiculous compensation to executives, and a financial system that seemed, at times, to be nothing more than a great big pyramid scheme were much more important than a few planes.
#3: Sometimes, They Can Save You Money.
What Is Meant By An Exotic Car
The automobile is almost a necessity for modern life, there are a handful of non-drivers in the country but on the whole, people drive cars and although the type of cars we drive might be set to change in the near future because of the damage they currently do to the Earths atmosphere, it looks like now we’ve become accustomed to driving, that’s the way its staying.
Cars have become such a big part of modern life that quite often, people tend to judge the success of another person based on the car they drive. If someone drives a car that’s over ten years old and a bit rusty etc then that person is deemed to be financially unsuccessful, whereas someone who drives a brand new expensive car is deemed to be more successful and immediately seems to warrant more respect. Whether this respect is justified or not, obviously depends on the individual.
There is however, a rare type of car that few people will ever have the pleasure of being inside of, let alone driving or even owning. These kinds of cars are put under the label of exotic or luxury.
Changing Your Sidelight Bulbs Out For Better Auto Lights
If you have HID xenon headlights fitted to your vehicle or even if you have upgraded your standard halogen headlight bulbs to the latest xenon bulbs, you will have seen how crisp and white the light produced by xenon lights is.
You may even have noticed how dull your sidelights look when you compare them to the xenon headlights. They will be a yellow colour which detracts from the overall look of your vehicle. Luckily, there is an improvement that you can make to your sidelights, so that they too are more brilliant and white than the standard car bulb. If you are adventurous then you will want to know they come in a variety of colours.
What is the difference between Standard Sidelight Bulbs and Improved Bulbs?
Standard sidelight bulbs are very cheap massed produced items, utilising very rudimentary filaments with the glass bulb section normally filled with a basic, inert gas. By comparison upgrade sidelight bulbs use the very latest in car bulbs technology, and so are constructed from superior materials and have high quality filaments.
Packing Supplies And Their Importance
If you have ever needed to move goods from A to B, i.e. moving house, moving offices etc. then you will have had the need for packaging solutions. There are two main types of cardboard box, single wall and double wall.
Single wall boxes are constructed with one layer of card and a layer of fluting. They are ideal for transporting objects that may be large, but do not weigh a great deal.
Double walled boxes are constructed as follows; a layer of cardboard, a layer of fluting, a layer of cardboard, another layer of fluting, and another layer of cardboard. These boxes are perfect for storing, courier posting or manually transporting heavier bulkier items.
Double walled boxes cost more than single walled to start with, but they last much longer as they can support far more weight and are therefore more durable.
When packing light items, they can be placed in a suitable box and then supported using Loosefill otherwise known on the street as Watsits (except they are white and dont taste as good!) Loosefill will protect light items from damage in transit, but if the items that you are transporting have much weight to them, you will want to wrap them in bubble wrap.
BMW M1 Series: The Blot on History
BMW, in the 1970′s wanted to create a super car that would be on a parallel with Ferrari and Porsche. To do this they needed to design and construct a vehicle which would fit in the Group 5 race series.
Homologation rules stated that BMW would also have to build 400 of these cars for road use and so the BMW M1 was born. Sadly however, the BMW M1 race car had a troubled gestation period and its story is now regarded by many as an important lesson on how not to build a supercar.
BMW approached Lamborghini to help in the design of the M1. They asked the company to help build the racer. The product of this union was a lustrous, low riding, mid engine vehicle. The bodywork was done by Ital Design. The engine was a 3.5 litre creation with turbocharger allowing for 850 horse power. The engine fit the Group 5 racing specifications.
Lamborghini was experiencing some financial setbacks during this time. They proved detrimental to the project since there were several delays and then the project was moved to Baur Germany. Still BMW motorsport department plodded on releasing the M1 in 1978, two years later than the project was supposed to be. This provided another problem because the Group 5 racing rules were modified and the M1 didn’t fit in with the new standards.
